Aerial Inspection

The brief: To inspect and capture high resolution images of all faces of the tower, to assess the condition of the stonework and any potential required repairs.

Methodology: Following pre-visit safety and flight checks, the Mavic Pro 2 was used to capture the imagery, this drone is lightweight, compact with a 20mp camera, this was perfect for the project and we were able to obtain close-up images of the tower. Multiple images were taken with additional images taken around any openings. 4 separate flights were carried out, after each flight the images were downloaded onto a laptop for inspection by the Architect and Stone Mason while the remaining images were captured.

Processing: Once back at the office, the raw images were processed in Adobe Lightroom and exported in JPeG format, these were then shared online for the Architect and Stone Mason to complete their assessment of the condition of the stonework.
